Judging & rubric

We are looking for imagination, not perfection.

Beautiful drawing skills can be wonderful—but this competition is first and foremost about ideas. A wonderfully strange doodle with a brilliant personality can be just as powerful as a highly polished drawing.

Fair to every age

Entries are judged within their age division. Technical drawing skill is only one part of one criterion — never the main thing.

Made by children. Powered by imagination.

Generative-AI artwork, copied, traced, copyrighted or adult-made characters are not eligible. Grown-ups may encourage. Grown-ups must not redraw.
